By making a booking at the Falmouth Lodge you are agreeing to our Terms and Conditions.
Check-in is ideally between 5 pm and 8 pm although this is our home and arrangements can be made for outside of these times
Guests that do not arrive to claim their bookings by 8pm without arrangement will be considered ‘no-shows’. In this case the booking may be cancelled and the credit/debit card charged accordingly.Once guests have checked-in and registered they are free to come and go as they please, there is no curfew under normal circumstances. We just ask that guests be respectful of the other residents if arriving back late.
Check-out time is 10.00 am.
Arrangements may be made to keep your bed until 3pm for an extra charge of £10 per person
Bookings are secured by calling with card details to pay for the first night’s stay for each person. Guests are expected to pay for their reservation in cash, in full, when they check in.
Changes and Cancellations:
Individual bookings may be changed or cancelled up to 72 hours before the day of arrival. If you cancel a booking more than 72 hours before your arrival date you will forfeit a minimum charge of a £10 booking fee and any internet booking fees (if applicable) but will not be charged for the balance of the booking value.
For cancellations or changes less than 72 hours before the booking date we reserve the right to make a minimum charge of one nights accommodation per person to the credit or debit card used to secure the booking.This may be as much as the full balance of the reservation value if less than 24 hours notice is given.
For ‘no-shows’ , i.e., bookings that do not turn up and do not contact us to cancel we reserve the right to charge the full value of the booking even if it is for multiple nights.
Group bookings must be secured with a deposit, normally 25 – 50% of the booking value. This deposit is non-refundable from the time it is received. The balance of the booking value is due 6 weeks prior to arrival. If a cancellation is made less than 6 weeks before the booking date we will make the date(s) available for other bookings and reimburse the original group for whatever booking value we are able to re-sell, less the original non-refundable deposit.
A security bond may be taken at the time of check in against anti-social behaviour and damages.
Any person making a booking is deemed responsible for all members of the party that he makes a reservation for. This guest is therefore liable for any damage or disadvantage suffered by Falmouth Lodge, who reserves the right to charge your card for any outstanding fee for damages.
We reserve the right to refuse bookings that we consider inappropriate for our hostel and to expel guests at our discretion for any behavior we deem anti-social (e.g. individuals under the influence of excessive alcohol).Back to enquire page.

Whilst we endeavour to accommodate any person with a disability or special needs we are unfortunately not very suitable for wheelchairs due to the structure and design of the building. We do have a ground floor dormitory and bathroom but a two steps must be negotiated to get to the front gate and then two more separate steps to the front porch and door.

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities The hostel is located on a quiet residential street where parking is free and safe. It is normally pretty easy to find space to park.

Falmouth Lodge is an old Victorian House arranged on three floors, very simply adapted into a Hostel with 6 rooms – three twin/double/triple rooms (one spacious attic en-suite) and three dorm or family rooms of four – five or six/seven beds
Only one dorm room of 6/7 beds in on the ground floor, and on the same level as the entrance, plus one bathroom and the kitchen and lounge
Public Areas Lounge and Kitchen are comfortable and fully equipped.
Guests have full access to both areas at any time apart from after 11pm and 7am when only the Kitchen is closed.
Strict No Smoking in the house policy
All except one dorm room has their own washbasin.
Besides the en-suite room there are three bathrooms available on two floors for all guests
Cooking and Eating
There is a fully equipped self-catering, communal kitchen with a fridge and boxes for personal food storage as well as seating areas.
Cooking either on an Aga or a Microwave.
Free tea and coffee is available any time and a simple complimentary breakfast is provided in the kitchen between 7.30 and 10am.
Laundry Laundry facilities are only for use by the management but we can wash and dry laundry by special request, for a small fee.
Shop The nearest food shop is about 10 minutes walk away – a Tesco’s Express which is open from 7am until 11pm
Lounge and Dining There is a cosy lounge/dining room available at all times.
Complete with free access TV, DVD player and PC.
There is also a log burner for chilly winter evenings
Outdoor Facilities A paved garden at the front of the house is surrounded by plants and has table and seating, as well as barbeque facilities in the summer
Reception Opens at 5pm but please notify us if your arrival is after 8pm.
It is sometimes possible to leave your bags earlier in the day, but as it is a small operation there cannot be someone ‘at home’ at all times.
